On June 27 2019, at a session of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the legislators approved an investment agreement between Aerosolex LLC and the regional government. The agreement provides for the granting of incentives in the form of property taxes abatements in the amount of 33.2 million rubles and income tax abatements of 6.7 million rubles. Per the parliament’s press service, the budgetary effect will amount to 47.5 million rubles. At the end of the incentive period, when the project reaches its design capacity, tax revenues from its implementation will amount to 49.3 million rubles annually.
The project of Aerosolex LLC received priority status in late-December 2018. According to Gleb Nikitin, the governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, “This is a successful importsubstitution project, and it’s being implemented as part of a key sector of the region’s economy. The chemicals industry provided over a third of the total volume of products shipped over January–April of this year. The uniqueness of the plant’s production parameters ensures market demand for its products.”
