High purity dimethyl ether (DME) producer Aerosolex has completed scheduled maintenance activities at its production facilities.
The maintenance lasted from July 13 through July 27, 2020. During this period, the company’s technicians fully inspected equipment, conducted maintenance and commissioning of production units. The catalyst, a key component in the chemical reaction in the DME production, was replaced. The heat exchange equipment was hydrotreated, monitoring and measurement equipment of the production process was checked.
“Shutdown maintenance at the hazardous production facility is an extremely important stage to ensure safe and efficient operation of production, which makes it possible to produce high-quality products. It is fair to mention the well-coordinated teamwork. There were a lot of tasks but Aerosolex employees successfully coped with them in just two weeks, which made it possible to get through this period without shipment delays and failing to fulfil our obligations to consumers,” Rinat Iskhakov, CTO of Aerosolex said.
